Convert to Vacuum Brakes
Thinking about converting to Vac brakes and was wondering about any check engine or brake lights on the dash since the power master will no longer be connected?

Re: Convert to Vacuum Brakes
The conversion process is outlined on the site.
http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/brakes/brakespage.html has several articles about it. The only dash light triggers are (1) the powermaster motor circuit and (2) the pressure switch in the distribution block. As long as the fuse is in place and you have adequate pressure, everything should be fine. Note that you will need a pedal assembly from a vacuum brake G-body to make things simple.

Re: Convert to Vacuum Brakes
New Vac Booster ordered 139.00 complete, picked up 5/16 line and clamps today. There have been posts on drilling the existing pedal but I not see any notes on how to measure to redrill the existing pedal. Any idea?

Re: Convert to Vacuum Brakes
Those all should work. All just G series cars of the era. And there are a lot of them out there.
Drilling the pedal arm is not worth it. And, if you never want to go back to Powermaster, or if you want to sell the PM pedal arm, it is a far better option.
