Default is 2 inches too much?

I just pulled the stock 15 wheels off my GN and installed a set of 16 Front GTA's. Now I want to lower the car down over them. Eventually I plan on going to a Black 20" wheel set. Is 2" too much to drop a GN? I want it to look tough, handle good without riding like a buggy. Any suggestions? Leaving it at stock height is completely out of the question.

20" wheels will make it ride awful ... and 2" is probably a bit much, since you will significantly reduce the suspension travel.

I am prepared for the stiff 20 inch wheel ride...I have 20's on my 4 runner and had a set on my old s-10...want to make sure it doesn't bottom out constantly.

These Buick cars were designed to ride, well, like a Buick.
Are you concerned about traction?
There are great 16 and 17 inch sets that will give it a great stance and more rubber on the road.

not too concerned about traction or performance. My car is not a daily driver and I have no desire to race my car. I get to drive a car as fast as I want everynight at work without having to worry about getting a ticket. I am not a speed freak...I go fast when I have to. I think I will go with a 1.5 drop and see how that goes.

My car is dropped about 1-1/2" sitting on 17s. Went with eibach springs, QA-1 shocks, ride is not harsh and handles great. The ride may be a little more harsh on the 20s but will look like you want it too.
Going much more than 1-1/2 to 2" drop and you will start seeing problems with fender lip/well clearances. Its a tight fit but can be done with correct wheel widths and offsets.

Holy S#*t, didn't realize I brought this post back from the grave (6-06), sorry guys.

To save yourself from further embarrassment ;-) , at least give the width and offset of the wheels since we get a LOT of wheel questions. Not to mention just what wheels they are. With the added 2" drop, I think knowing what will fit in advance really helps.

Granted, that really is "Tires & Wheels" subject matter, but given the drop issue, it somewhat crosses over...
