Question Re: Turbolink issues (Split from: Turbolink 4.0 by Ken Mosher???)

Are you using this with the factory cable? And you have it plugged into the car when trying to connect each time?

Are you using a serial port, or via a USB adapter?

Probably the Dynaplot control didn't register ...

In the Utilities directory on the CD, there should be a .bat file that says something like "register.bat" or something like that. It should reregister all the controls and make it work.

If you don't have the CD, I'm kind of stuck, since I don't have the .bat file any more and I don't remember exactly what it took to reregister the control from the command line. Might want to do a search ... we might have discussed this before several years ago.

Thanks I do have the CD so I'll give it a try and yes I have the right cable and the com test passes fine. It just craps out when I try to go online.
I am hooked up with a serial cable.

Yep, it sounds like DynoPlot failed to register ... the cable is fine.

Go to the command prompt and register dynoplot ...

Sounds like something is a little funky on your machine. Make sure all virus protection stuff is turned off (you might want to boot in safe mode).

I got everything to register, but the register program comes up with an error that reads Load Library (.ATITURBOLINK.DLL failed Specified module could not be found.

I still get screen failed to initialize when I try to go online with the car.

I am searching the disk for this file at the moment. The disk does have some scratches fwiw .... does anyone have a Zip file back up of the install Disk ?

Search of the disk comes up empty...

This is a purchased copy of the software and stuff has the label etc....

Help appreciated.

I found this on turbobuick.

Thumbs up VehiclePak 6 fix for Windows 95 and early Windows 98!
http://www.turbo-link.com/cgi/discus/discus.cgi

Go to KNOWN ISSUES section.

THIS IS ONLY NECESSARY IF YOU HAVE A WINDOWS 95 or EARLY WINDOWS 98 machine AND you are getting installation error messages regarding either MSXML.DLL or ATITURBOLINK.DLL

It involves downloading a new version of MSXML and uninstalling/reinstalling the VehiclePak (to straighten up the registry).

Drop me email at info@appauto.com if you have questions/problems! Thanks!
