Default Broken by a Brake Pedal

Am replacing the vacuum booster/master cylinder on my 87 GN. Dumped the powermaster years ago. Got the new unit from NAPA - told them it was for an 87 normal aspirated Regal. Everything was going okay until I went to hook the push rod to the brake pedal pin. The push rod is at an angle and the pin is binding. Nuts on booster are all loose. I've tapped it and squeezed it with angle needle-nose pliers. What about a dab of grease? Suggestions?

thanks much.

Exclamation Re: Broken by a Brake Pedal

Are you using the original pedal arm, or one off a vacuum brake car? The latter is required, as the pin is in a different location.
