Re: how do I bulid more boost on hot air car?
Do you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator? The black smoke almost sounds like its cranked up too high.
Are you reading boost on the dash gauge or an aftermarket one?

Re: how do I bulid more boost on hot air car?
I have ajustable fuel regulator , but I did not buy new and I have used fuel injectors. I am going to install new ones and see what happens, I have a new fuel regulator to. the seems to run strong cold but when it warms it runs rough.no back fire just up and down like vacum leak but I can't find one

Re: how do I bulid more boost on hot air car?
Note that your chip needs to be matched to your fuel injectors. I'd also suggest you update to the ECM used in the 86/87 cars, which gives you access to a larger selection of matching chips from more sources.
You should also get a fuel pressure gauge so that you can adjust your fuel pressure properly. ...and a scan tool so you can really tell what the car is doing.

A few small changes are needed. See the articles on the web site such as http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/ecmsensors/8487ecm.html and http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/ignition/module.html

Re: how do I bulid more boost on hot air car?
Nope. But you'll need to add the air temperature sensor or stub it. Caspers has a dandy kit for adding the sensor. And you'll need the 86-87 MAF or a translator + appropriate MAF.
