Little help
Ok ok, i have a 86 GN computer, Ultrachip, What else do i need?? I wanted to get a volt booster but i get one for the 86 or 85 computer??? I have a HI FLOW MAF and TRANSLATOR BUT my translator doesn't have connections just wires? WTF?? how do i hook it up?? Does caspers make em??

Have you read any of the 84/85 recipes? Many ideas there.
The "volt booster" devices are set up per the alternator, not the ECM. The Translators come from Full Throttle.

Based on your question you do not understand the car you own. Hot air cars are in there own arena and are outnumbered 25000 to 8000 and minimal support from any vendor. Keep up the post but remember that a Hot air is very expensive when you want to make power. Brad

KInda, i just didn't know the right way to "convert" to the newer setup, I get the idea but nobody said what do's and don'ts come with that. SORRY GUYS!

I will take a guess here. Your 86 computer will work with the Ultra chip only if it was programmed for the 86 computer. The small chip is ok Calpak on the 84/85 as the 86/87. You will need to add the MAT sensor conversion kit from Caspers. The next issue is the MAF. Get a used 87 MAF or upgrade to the LS1 type and translator. You should have instructions with the translator. You will eventually have to upgade to the 86/87 coil module and coil. Caspers sells the adapter plate and the wiring conversion adapter as well. I am not qualified to address the volt booster because I have not addressed the issue yet. I doubt there is any difference between a hot air or a IC car except location of the alternator. The wiring may be to short or too long. Take care- Brad
