Sudden death!
My mostly stock 87 GN has developed a nasty little habit of just dying sometimes. It usually happens after a longer than normal drive or if the AC is running. And it's always after taking my foot off the gas pedal to slow down to turn or stop. Usually, it will start right up and I'm on my way. But last weekend, it died and when I tried to restart, it wouldn't run. It acted like it wasn't getting fuel. Anyway, after it cooled down for an hour, it started up and drove normally.
Here's my setup: - Walbro fuel pump with hot wire - Adjustable fuel regulator (set at 40 PSI idle) - Green stripe TOMCO injectors - Lt1 3 " MAF - MAF Translator - Big Mouth cold air induction Any ideas? |

Re: Sudden death!
Save for the inability to restart, it almost sounds like a sticking TCC valve in the trans causing it to die on deacceleration.

Re: Sudden death!
UPDATE: The fuel pump (Walbro) was bad. It was only 2 years old. Very disappointing.
