Check out the main page of this forum for the quick reference page. It will give you a good idea of some basic numbers..

http://www.gnttype.org/maint/quickref.html

Also, check out Steve Wood's site.. Tons of great info...

http://www.vortexbuicks-etc.com/

Those pages will tell you what #'s to be concerned with and what ranges. Phil hit it right on the head, tune for Zero KR at WOT. From what you said, you may be just getting some false knock at shifts...

Very disappointing that the documentation is so lacking. Might try to direct specific questions about the tool to the forums at http://www.fullthrottletech.com/showthread.php?t=2645 Bob Bailey, its developer, is there.

MAP is Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor, and a 3 BAR variety can be integrated into the data collection. That way you would know what the boost was at a specific moment.

The knock retard data would tell you if timing was pulled, and how many degrees. I think that knock is just a hair too much. Was this during a shift? Had you reset the ECM (pulled power) before the run after changing everything out? Give the car some street time before getting on boost?

Note that the product has been updated a few times. Just yesterday to 1.0.8a. I would almost consider this a beta, and not production product.

I have seen the reference values on the main page already, and mine is mostly in range. for Knock Retard it says <6 at WOT. 3.2 is in that range, but I would prefer 0. It probably was during a shift, but I can't remember for sure. The ECM should have been reset because the battery was disconnected while I installed everything. I will continue to test. How can you tell from Knock Retard if the timing was pulled. I did really get on it today, and all seems okay............Hopefully I gave it enough "street time" I've driven it ~ 85 miles since the mods and before I really got on it..............I just did it once..............

Also, are the updates free?

Shell 93 Octane. I tried to download the update, but it gives an error when I try to open it. Not too familiar with Zip Files..

Timing retard = Knock retard = Timing "pulled" or "retarded"

Since the knock that I'm experiencing is a little too much, what is the best way for me to reduce it, and achieve 0 KNR at WOT?
