Default mufflers

Can anyone tell me from their experience who makes best sounding mufflers for my 87?

Thanks for your help, Tim

I really like the UltraFlows because they have a nice rumble at idle and aren't obnoxiously loud. They also flow almost like open exhaust.

Of course, season to taste ... you almost have to listen to the varoius choices yourself ...

Can't help you there ... not my style. I prefer the "speak softly ... and carry a big stick!" ...

Talking Re: mufflers

Keep the CAT, Lose the mufflers (put in muffler delete pipes) sounds nasty but not too loud.

mine has flowmaster with no cats and 3" pipes all the way back. I am going to utilize my dump pipe with an electric cutout and run turbo II mufflers. I am with ken on the speak softly aspect. but my car had these on it when I bought it. it has a nice rumble with trans in drive, at a stop, but at idle with trans in P it sounds like a V6 with a bad muffler to me. and get kinda loud when cruising.

Just run none and see what you think...or what the neighbors think.
