Interior lights
Hey guys I need some help again. I was taking the vanity mirror apart to change out the light bulbs and I disconnected the 2 black power wires in the back. Once I got the new light bulbs installed I proceeded to hook up the 2 black wires in the back off the mirror. Connecting the first wire nothing happened but as soon as the second wire was connected it arced and caused my interior lights and radio to turn off. Now I can't get my power doors to unlock, radio to turn on or interior lights to work. I checked all the fuses in the fuse block and they are all good. I was looking at the electrical wiring diagram in the tech area and noticed that they all tie together to a fusible link on the starting motor. Is it possible that I blew the fusible link and if so how can I obtain another one and has any one else had this happen to them . Thanks.

Re: Interior lights
It is possible. I would get out a meter and check all the circuits as much as possible (including the fuses, as they can be deceptive). Fusible links are essentially sections of smaller wire placed in line with a larger wire that will fail first in a large current draw happens. Get down by the starter and examine them to see if any look melty-melty. A good old-style parts store may have bonafide sections of fusible link wire. If not found, I would try a hot rod shop, speed shop, or Caspers Electronics.

Re: Interior lights
Hey Scott thanks for your help again. I found a partially blown 10amp fuse. I guess I should start listening to my wife and leave crap alone. lol
