Re: blow off valve
There is no blow off valve of any sort on any TR. Not from the factory, anyway.
Historically, those who have installed blow off valves on TRs (typically on 86-87 cars, and typically on the intercooler or its plumbing) have often had problems with their sealing. This has caused many problems with boost control and drivability. In addition, many who have had them install them to vent to the atmosphere, and not to recirculate the pressure within the system. Some believe the latter is the preferred way it should be set up. Many believe that cars with automatic transmissions really don't benefit from blow off valves. Often blow off valves are installed for the 'noise' they make when they are active than any true "benefit".
