Default Performance cam

I have an edelbrock performance plus cam and double roller timing chain.
My question is do I set the cam std,advanced or retarded ? Please.

The cam is a edelbrock performer plus 204 in /214 ex kit#EDL5487 for 84.
I'm still in the mickey mouse club !

here is what i do.. i use a degree wheel and check it.. some cams already have advance or retard in them .. im not sure on edelbrock cams.. i dont know who grinds them

Works out to 204/214 @ .050 with a 114 lobe separation, 107 centerline. Really not designed for a turbo app, IMHO. Has 448/472 valve lift. Not sure what your combo is, of course.

A quick call to Edelbrock might clear up how it is ground. (i.e. straight up, 5 degrees advanced, etc.)
