Turbo Regal Curb Weight Guide
I've read that the overall curb weight of a stock turbo regal is somewhere between 3400 - 3900 lbs.
Is there a resource or list on this site or elsewhere that provides additional information about the curb weights of the various turbo regal models as well as weight added or taken away with the various available factory options and/or aftermarket weight savings methods? Any tips on what the common areas are in turbo regals to focus on for weight savings? Thanks in advance! Last edited by T-TopFlyer; 10-31-2007 at 06:56 PM. |

Re: Turbo Regal Curb Weight Guide
a typical turbo regal will sit around 35-3600 stock. feel free to argue with me if you know any better.
fiberglass parts (such as hoods, trunks, and bumpers) will save a lot of weight. saved my dad around 150 pounds (plus/minus). thats my own estimate, though. i knew a guy once who had a fiberglass skin made for his doors on his monte, knocked about 125 pounds off from doors alone, but it ran him about 300 a door. getting rid of the air conditioning can help (if you want to get rid of it). barring lightweight replacement parts, it all depends on what you want to get rid of and how much money you want to spend, law of diminishing returns and all. |
