Default Parts swap info

I have an 86 GN and recently bought an 87 Regal Limited for misc parts.
Is the V-6 in the Regal any use as a backup? Can the basic V-6 be modified for the turbo use as the GN motor can be? Are there any real internal differences? Are the heads useful as far as redoing or modifying? Are the trans similar? etc......

Any info or guidence will be appreciated!!

The heads will probably be the 8445 casting which, if decked and cleaned up are identical.

The block is good for building a spare. You'll need pistons, rods, crank, etc. but front cover, block, etc are all usable.
