Default Vintage '70 Ralleys on GN

Anyone have images of this? I am toying with the idea of putting chrome ralley wheels from "70 A-Bodys on my GN. I enjoy the look of that wheel style on my '70 Riviera (as some buick fans know the big body car came with the same style but 5x5" bolt pattern). I also have this weird desire to have my Riv and GN with matching wheels.

Anyway...any pix of someone's car that has this. Does the GN look decent with circa '70 Ralleys?

My google image search yielded notta...

Thanks

fwiw, My GN has aftermarket wheels with some nasty knicks, crub rash etc so I will likely replace them anyways. Just wonder which direction to go.

Lightbulb Re: Vintage '70 Ralleys on GN

FWIW, Mike Kurtz used to use a Ronal wheel that was painted to look a lot like the Buick rally wheels when I last saw it some years ago. Think it was a Ronal R9 with the spokes left aluminum and all the inlay areas painted black. Should be similar to http://www.benzworld.org/forums/atta...6-hpim1619.jpg

There were factory rallys available as an option on Regals of this era, but they were not offered on the Ts and GNs. Steel wheels are heavy but certainly no worse than the steel GN wheels. I believe they were 14", though.

Thanks for the idea. Also considering something extremely simple like:
http://www.rides-mag.com/news/2012/1...nx-and-t-type/

I think that makes the car look impressive imho.

edit:

finally found a pic of a regal with the rallies on it.

http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...0001_large.jpg

not bad looking.

hello people; For something simple and I havn't seen any on a TB. That is just a plain flat hubcap that was around in the past. I saw one that was sold by saltflat. I don't know if you can get one that fits but it would be differant and easy.
