Fuel pump relay is possibly on the fritz. I had the same problem (annoying in the staging lanes).

replaced some grounds - no go
Fuel pressure checked out - no go
then I decided to hot wire the pimp via connector in engine bay harness - kept the pump running and it started.....every time. Replaced the relay and no problems since.

I don't mean the hot wire kit. I mean the fuel pump "hot wire" in the engine bay. The grey connector. Put 12 v to it and it will start the pump. I would recommend at least trying that to see if it will start when hot.
