I have alcoholinjection systems.com in the trunk . I test ran it and it comes on when I used a hand air pump.

Lightbulb Re: how do I bulid more boost on hot air car?

Does your car always make the vacuum/boost change at 3000, or only under load? (i..e. It doesn't do it in neutral, does it?)

If the alcohol is set to activate at 10 PSI and you never reach 10 PSI, chances are it will never come on. My suggestion for a crude test would be to point the nozzle at the windshield or run the hose through some washer tubing to the windshield. Then make a run and see if you get any spray. That will give you an answer.

I don't believe that's normal, not for my car, anyway.
Is your wastegate acuator original?

Red face Re: how do I bulid more boost on hot air car?

car makes change from vac to boost only when I give it more gas . can't give it road test .car is not registered only took it track once since rebuild motor. when threw whole car just need paint. gona reg. when it 25 years old. cheeper insurance.good idea about alky test . my next thing is try to change over to 87 ecm. I do have stock wastgate with boost controler hosed to one side . should I get 87 wastgate with 1 hose instead of 2 or could I change my down pipe an add external wast gate? gona be tricky but I am fabricator so I think I can do it. ps. thanks every one for giving help.

Check the tee in the wastegate plumbing...There's a restriction in one leg of the tee. If a normal tee is substituted, it doesn't build much boost.
