Re-stalled d5 & te60 w/ Garrett ex. Housing
Would this combo work on a street car, providing quick spool and low end torque? Happy new year everybody!

The 60 is a bit larger than a TA49. If you stick with the Garrett housing, it will probably be more responsive at the low end. I had run a TA49 with a restalled D5 (stock) converter, and it was great on the street. (And strip. ) I used both a Garrett and Precision housing. The TE60 may show a little bit of lag, but not too bad with a restalled D5 converter.
