Default Mass Air Flow Sensor

Would it be beneficial for me to change out my stock maf for a 3.5 LS1 maf with transalator. My original maf is working fine.

I have an 87 GN and will be adding the following mods:

Hooker dual exhaust with no cat.

3 inch down pipe.

street chip 93/94

cold air kit.

I am running stock turbo and injectors. Just wondering if I really need to add this and would it give me any performance gain which would be worth the money I would have to put out. Thanks

there is a nice driveablity upgrade with the addition of a 3.5 maf and translator.. and it add some more tunning functions... but if your buick is mostly stock and your stock maf is working fine.. it really just comes down to what are your future plans for the car???
