Default E-85...

I suspicion I am not looking in the right place, but I am wondering about using E-85 in my newly acquired G.N.

I know from past experience that the tank needs to be cleaned along with fuel lines. I also suspicion that I would need a different fuel pump.

What about chips and fuel pressures? I know alcohol has a lower BTU than fuel.

Can some one point me in the right direction??

Thanks
Alan Downing

Basically, you need a chip cut for the fuel (E85 has a stoich of about 9.6:1) and you need enough pump and injectors to support basically about 35% more fuel volume/flow than gasoline.

The tank and such should be fine without any special prep.

Fuel pressure should be the same as gasoline, if the chip is calibrated properly.

Right now it has 36 lb injectors. Engine is stock. I need to look into the fuel pump situation.

What independents and vendors are doing those types of burns right now.

Thanks for your help Mr. Mosher.

Try Full Throttle, Eric Marshall (Turbo Tweak), Cotton's, etc.

You'll need 60# injectors, a chip, and at least a Walbro pump
