Default Detonation

Can any body expain detonation,what ,why and how it kills head gasket.

When the pressure wave from the detonation / knock occurs, it creates tremendous force. That force will cause the weakest link to fail. That link, in these cars, is the head gasket.

Hey, its a lot better failure than blowing a hole in a piston, breaking a rod, or cracking a head. And those can happen, too. But they are pretty unusual.
