Re: Vacuum Brake Conversion
Well, there are other places to pick up vacuum.
But first, why do you have the 7th? What size are the six in the intake, and what size is the 7th? What is your configuration? Maybe an adjustment to the config would let you do without, and use the vacuum adapter up top.

Think you left a number off of your 7th. Those are all stock injectors. What turbo are you running?

Re: Vacuum Brake Conversion
Honestly, I don't see a good reason to run the 7th. I was able to get my car down to about 12.10 with the stock injectors, and a lot of boost (~20#) after porting things, adding better exhaust and air intake system, etc. Unless you are already at or beyond that point now, it is strictly like having a bananna in your pants. You can always move to larger injectors if need be, and there is no reason your car should not be fixed because of it.
What chip is being used? Is it set up for the 7th?

Re: Vacuum Brake Conversion
Chip technology has progressed a fair bit since the ATR (no longer in business) chips of the 1990s. Many use Red Armstrong or TurboTweak chips. The latter are even adjustable, and allow you to adjust several parameters right from the car.
I think it would be fine to remove the 7th, go to vacuum if you must (there are ways to cure Powermaster ills), consider a more recently developed chip, and enjoy the car again. Not sure that 7th is really helping you at all.

Re: Vacuum Brake Conversion
Do you have the grey or black switch atop the unit?
I would strongly suggest draining all the fluid from the reservoirs (maybe with a tube and bottle or with a syringe), then refilling with clean DOT 3, and then bleeding all four wheels (shortest to longest path) in order to get rid of air (and potentially condensation/water) in the system. That might improve brake feel considerably. Of course, a lot depends on how worn the pads and discs/drums are. If they are still in good shape, doing this might help a bunch. Observe that the fluid level has to be checked/filled with the system depressurized, as you have noted.
