Default correct 1987 grand national owners manual

Can anyone help me understand what the "correct" owners manual is for a Grand National. I have had one literature vendor tell me it is the Regal owners manual and another tell me that there is a special supplement. When I went back to the first they told me that the special one only was for the GNX. Obviously there is a significant difference in the price of the manual and I would like to put the correct one in the glove box. Thanks, Ed Evans

I have two (the original one that came with the car when I ordered it from the factory and one I found at a swap meet that was brand new for $9 in the mid 90s).

They are just the "regular" Regal manual ... the GN stuff is just in the options and capacities sections. They treat it just like any other RPO.

What Ken said. There is no "special" GN supplement. While the GNX had a few special documents and books that went with it, the GN (and other TRs) were not regarded as much more than option packages / motor choices on the Regal.

Ken and Scott,
Thanks very much for your help. You saved me from a costly mistake and I can give my uncle some great factual information he did not have as well as the correct owners manual. I really appreciate it. Ed Evans

The Helm manual is just a reprint. Photocopies in other words. Not the real thing with a cover and stapled that fits snuggly in it's slot in the glove box.

Guess the real thing was too much to ask for new at this point.

They used to sell the real thing once upon a time. Of course, I used to be younger once upon a time...
