Can anyone provide me with a link on this? I did a search but turned up nothing. I just want to know what I'm getting into before I do it. thanks.

Thanks again Ken. Is there a link that tells you how to do this exchange? In fact is there a link that will tell you how to do all kinds of procedures?

The Technical Artcles ... go to the web site:
  1. http://www.gnttype.org
  2. Then choose the "RESOURCES" drop down at the top banner of the page.
  3. Pick "Technical Info"
  4. Now choose the "Technical Articles" drop down (top left banner)
  5. Choose whatever major section is interesting ...
In this case, a thermostat is pretty easy, so there isn't anything specific.

Basically:
  1. Remove intake hose/tube from turbo to MAF
  2. Remove intake tube from intercooler to throttle body
  3. Drain coolant
  4. Remove upper radiator hose
  5. Unbolt bolt on hold down clamp for thermostat (under the throttlebody)
  6. Wiggle/pull the thermostat housing/hose inlet until it is removed
  7. Remove thermostat
  8. Install new thermostat and reverse procedure
