Default How to build a ten second Car???

hi all new to the forums...i have an 87 gn pretty much all stock except for the alky system that is already in it...what i would like to do is run 10 seconds and still drive on the street...i have a bit of money and unlimited time tools in a shop to do all the mods...so im asking the experienced gn owners rebuilders for a list of all the changes , parts in every area of the car i will need to accomplish this...from engine to suspension etc...i dont want to just build up the top or bolt ons and forget the rest as im sure you know ill probably blow it up or have a lot of problems nonetheless... i am part of the local grand national club here so ill be asking there as well but any info anyone could give me that would be great...i live in vancouver bc...so ill probably have to order a lot of these parts from the states...the car is going into an auto tech school so i would like to get all the parts i will need at the same time so everything is there and ready to go ....thanks in advance for any help and if im in the wrong section just tell me where to go lol.

thanks for the info...i have just read the recipe page ...is some of it dated and considering the fast progress of technology are all these recipes still viable???...anyone have any updated recipes with any newer/better parts since those recipes have been made???...or are those about as good as it gets ....any opinions on which one would be the best build for a ten second 87 gn...parts and shop time are not a problem...thanks again.

You might also take a look at Jason Cramer's site. He has a recipe for a 10 second car. Some of it may be self-serving, but it does give some ideas from someone who's been there.
