Default maf transalators

Are these worth the money? What type of gains will this give if any on a mildly mod 86t with stock turbo?

They allow tuning for drivability and idle issues with the twist of a knob to tweak for optimum performance. They are not instant bolt in horsepower, they just make things easier and give you a few more options for tuning.

I don't mean to hijack this thread but can I add a question?
If I can burn my own chips and make all the adjustments to idle, cruz, and wide open throttle then when if ever would I need to go to a MAFT? Is it an issue of hitting the 255 wall where the stock unit maxes out verses oh say 20 psi of boost? If so, what boost level does the stock MAF sensor max out?

Thanks for your time,

this is from Eric @ Turbo Tweak

It's hard to find good stock type MAF's anymore. The LS1 or LT1 MAF is more reliable and more accurate, and better availability.
