| Introduction |
Before I begin I want to thank everyone who has helped me and shared with me their experiences with these cars. This never would have been possible without the close help of Terry Ryan.My car is street driven as well as being driven to and from the track (on the slicks :) It is an all steel car with factory glass T-Tops, working AC, PS, PW, full interior, etc. The car currently only sports a 6 point roll bar, this will need to be upgraded to be 9 second legal. It weighs 3540 pounds. Everybody across the country has a different combination, but we all have the same goal. My combination uses the power of high boost (over 30 pounds) The picture at the right shows Ryan as he takes off against a heavily nitroused tunnel rammed big block Nova. The Nova saw a lot of bumper, and never caught Ryan even when the other stages of nitrous were activated |

How much more will the GN take? There is no stopping the performance of these cars. One thing is for sure....10's are great but 9's are better! |
| Summary |
I would like to add the fact that Ryan has at least 4 seasons worth of drag racing on his long block. He has slowly upped the turbo sizes, and injector capacity. He deserves a lot of credit for slowly and methodically rubbing on that car to get every last bit of performance out of it. He is the kind of guy that is constantly thinking about ways to make the car go faster. The bottom line is, there are no "tricks" to the car other than the amount of boost used, and the somewhat un-conventional use of big injectors in the up-pipe. I would also add that we all think he has been very lucky...yes LUCKY! that his motor has held together for so long. It's not because he's been easy on it...that thing get's wrung out whenever he visits the track. As he said, Terry Ryan was a huge contributor to the cars performance. Terry is our local "Turbo Regal Guru"
This picture shows a match between Ryan and Dave. Dave saw nothing but GN bumper from half track on. That's none other than Terry Ryan in the background with arms folded. |
