Introduction
Here's Race Jace's (Jason Cramer) incredible 9 second STOCK BLOCK Recipe! Jason is well known in the Buick community for innovative and effective products (RJC Racing). Jason's combo is an incredible, STREETABLE, high 9/low 10 ride. Jason broke everyone's expectations by running a 9.96 at the 2002 GS Nationals.

Recipe
This car is no lightweight, tipping the scales at 3610lbs with driver!

Motor

  • Stock 109 block
  • Stock Crank .01 rods .02 mains balanced at 50% on bobs.
  • +.030 TRW pistons with light weight JE wristpins
  • Stock Rods with ARP bolts.
  • Stock Main caps
  • RJC Racing Girdle
  • Total seal rings
  • Comp 218/218 flat tappet hyd cam. (off the shelf)
  • As cast GN1 heads with minor bowl work done by Jason
  • 84-85 GM Stacked steel shim head gaskets
  • ARP head studs torqued to 85 ft/lbs.
  • Champion Scorpion Chevy style 1.6 rockers
  • RJC valve cover extensions with stock valve covers
  • Ported stock intake done by myself
  • Precision plenum
  • RJC A.D. power plate for the precision plenum
  • 70MM T.B.
  • HR Parts poly motor mounts
  • RJC Race crank pulley
  • All factory accessories.
  • PT-70 P trim 3 bolt turbocharger, Precision 85 exhaust housing.
  • FAST engine management tuned by Jason with pointers from Cal Hartline.
  • 72# MSD injectors
  • MDS DIS 4 HO.
  • Stock fuel lines.
  • Acufab Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator
  • Dual XP pumps setup by Tom Cramer, 2nd pump on at 17# of boost.
  • CAS V1 front mount
  • Terry Houston 3.5” down pipe and exhaust
  • Stock style waste gate.
  • Terry Houston headers.

Transmission/Rear End

  • Len Freeman of Performance Transmission in Las Vegas
  • The real Art Carr 9” converter “N” stall
  • Stage Right Brake. Launch at 4500 rpm @ 20# of boost.
  • B&M shifter

Suspension/Tires

  • Stock 3.42 rear end, Moser 28 spline axles
  • South Side machine lowers, stock upper control arms
  • Dual air bags both at 20#
  • Blistien rear shocks
  • T/A rear end cover/girdle
  • ATR sway bar.
  • Front tires/wheels - Weld 15x5 on Big O 225/75/15
  • Rear tires/wheels - Weld 15x10 4.5” b.s. 28x10.5 MT Slicks
  • Front: suspension - All stock, even shocks, sway bar removed

Interior

  • Stock with little Jace’s GN car seat by Jax seat covers.
  • Chassis Craft chrome-moly bar, installed by friends & Jason
  • Power seats, locks, windows, antenna, trunk release, concert sound
  • Cold A/C.

Body

  • Fiber glass front bumper and front aluminum bumper supports. Rolled rear outer fender lip. everything else stock.

Performance

  • 1.37 60’ foot time
  • 9.96 @ 133.5
