I have a 1985 regal that I've been working on for 10 years, the old 2 barrel V6 has been long gone. It now has a 1987 GN drivetrain-front to back. [Heavily modified] TE 61, 009 inj, stock 109 blk, heads & intake-ported. Alcohol injected, stock tb & plenum w/powerplate too many modifications to list. I have a ? I'm running the factory wastegate solenoid engine is out of the car now almost complete [ roller cam now ] hyd. cam failed. Anyway I'm OCD with this car and I'm checking EVERYTHING!! I'm bench testing the solenoid using a 9 volt bat. with no power supplied should the vaccum ports be blocked? when I supply power to the solenoid it clicks and then the ports are open. Is that working right is the question I have. Looked online and got conflicting results, any and all help will be appreciated. Lance M P thank you!!
