Body day 1
Here is what I found after taking most of it apart.
First pic is the door I knew I was replacing it was split and pretty much rotted out. Next is the DS roof at the top. Ttop base is going to need some work, then my trunk. Everything else looks pretty sound rockers are good. http://photoshare.shaw.ca/messages/v...arm/page/1/15/ |

progress
Well its been fun so far, welders flash when welding hurts like a bastard.
Got the drip rail in the trunk fixed, the rest looked pretty good. Got my first coat of primer on my new door hung, fixed the dent in the hood that was a PITA to get the body line to my liking. Going to fog on a guide coat, sand and see how straight it is. Then its time to seal it and top coat the top was not as bad as I thought by the time I had it cleaned up all I had to do was por 15 and fill the 1 hole in the center, the worst was the black centre section picked one up off evilbay for $ 50.00 including freight . http://photoshare.shaw.ca/messages/v...iew/page/1/15/ http://photoshare.shaw.ca/messages/v...arm/page/1/15/ |

Re: Body day 1
Well its sprayed took 2 trys I had some questionable guidance from my paint tech he told me 8-1-1 marked it right on the can(laid out really heavy with solvent pop on the flat areas).
Nasons says 8-1-2 second go around thats what I did used 1/2 the paint laid way flatter and only had a couple of small runs no pop or sags http://photoshare.shaw.ca/messages/v...arm/page/1/15/ |
