Buick V6 Intake Photo Guide
General Information
There were many different castings and designs of intakes for the Buick V6 over the years. In general, the production turbocharged intakes fall in the following categories:
  • 1978-1983: These intakes supported a draw through carbed turbocharged setup
  • 1984-1985: These intakes wer designed for an SFI setup with the turbocharger introducing air to the back of the manifold
  • 1986-1987: These intakes were designed for the later SFI/Intercooled turbocharged applications which introduce air thru a plenum and throttle body

The Stage family of Buick Motorsports intakes are definitely a different breed. They provide incredible flow and several unique features as noted in the sections below.
