Hi i want to clean up a set of turbo alum. wheels, by sand blasting them an then clear coating them is this agood idea, or is there a better way ??? Thanks John
I glass beaded mine and didn't do anything with them coating wise. They look as good as when I first did them 2 years ago, but then it is not a daily driver anymore. Maybe 5000-7000 miles have gone by.

I have seen a couple sets powder coated with "near chrome" it looks somilar to the jet-hot stuff. Looks pretty sharp, really close to polished aluminum.

There is a gnttype member who's car was featured waaay back. Its most likely still in the archives. The guy had *polished* the ttype wheels and they looked outstanding. YOu might want to ping him.
