i recently enherited a 87 T-Type from my brother, and don't know too much about it. the scanmaster tool is reading a mal code 33, i know what it means but i'm not sure how to fix it. the car occasionally (at wot) sputters and backfires and check enginge light comes on. i was told that by tapping the maf if it was bad the car would stutter, it doesn't. what should i do next???
any suggestions??

Sounds like you've got good luck getting a TR from your brother. I've never had the code personally and have heard about the tapping thing, some say it works, some don't. Check this out: http://www.gnttype.org/maint/malf.html#33
Then just slide down to code 33 and click on it, it will have a list of things to try. Hope that helps,
