My old sensor would go up about 5# and than come
down in #. I installed a new NGK and i'am still having the same problem. Anyone have a solution.

Well, if you're using a scan tool, look at the cross counts (o2 cc's) & watch them while the engine is warmed up. They should be pretty active. If not, then either the sensor isn't working correctly, or the ecm isn't reading them correctly. Do you have any codes?? If so, did you reset the ecm by unplugging the orange wire by the battery after installing the new sensor? From my limited experience, buy a AC Delco o2 (1-wire, purple) & see if that helps.
