I have an 84 Pontiac Fiero with a fwd 3.8 FI V6 with distributer installed, The Efi is a hack job and I have a 3.0 buick v6 fwd intake , carb, egr valve and throttle cable brackets. will this fit a 3.8 engine. I am told no because the 3.0 had a slightly shoter block deck but I never heard of this before. The engine has 9.7 CR buick 350 pistons and a thick gaskets for around 9.5 CR. The computer carb was replaced with identical looking non feedback carb from a Chevy 305 engine. The car now has a 5 speed going in it. Is there any year make model I can get a flywheel for the BOP pattern small bellhousing FWD block and crankshaft? I have an edlebrock Buick V6 performance intake that origonally sold through GM it's stamped V6 performance in raised letters on back of the intake. Intake is very clean, no damages. I am willing to part with it, its setup for a holley square bore carb.
also can I fit later roller cam and lifters to this early 85 engine?
