Default Sensor question

I reviewed the sensor locations via the resource link, and I have a question. On the passenger side valve cover at the front of the motor is a sensor with two pins. If the resource guide is correct it's the wastegate control solenoid. On mine, ther is a short piece of hose about 2 inches long that goes nowhere. It looks to be of natural rubber or something; it is brown, not black. There is also a second hose thats plumbed into vacuum. Where should the other one go?

Lightbulb Re: Sensor question

One side of the wastegate solenoid is vented to atmosphere. Had a little foam cover on it from the factory that quickly fell off.

The other side (they are interchangeable) goes to your turbocharger wastegate and turbo compressor via a metered "Y" whose orientation is critical.

Sounds like you're missing the wastegate solenoid hose assembly. Here's a link and discription from one of the vendors. Also a picture of mine. Notice the grey colored plastic Y where the hose splits.

Default Re: Sensor question

on my sensor the connector(red side) has some damage to the end of it. Would that cause major problems. It looks like was cut at the very tip where it connects into the sensor.
