Default Fuel System Upgrade

Hello, I'm looking to upgrade my fuel system and I'm trying to decide which chip to get. From what I have read, the UltraChip just has several different pre-programmed settings and the TurboTweak chip gives the user more tuning options correct?

I am also looking for a scan tool and was looking at power logger or turbo link. I am leaning towards the turbo link scan tool as it seems to have great customer service, and the user interface looks nice.

I have talked to a few people and in regards to my goal of low 11's they suggested I get 60lb Mototron injectors along with a walbro gs340 pump/hotwire, and adjustable fuel regulator.

Only mods that have been done to my car are 3in downpipe, 3in exhaust, aftermarket gbodyparts.com headers.

Any experiences/opinions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Lightbulb Re: Fuel System Upgrade

We'll just address fuel here. The other questions are very important, however, and should be asked in the correct categories.

The Mototron injectors and the Walbro pump should fuel a low 11 combo just fine. The hot wire is a great addition; almost necessary on a fast TR. A good regulator is critical to tuning capabilities. The Accufab is often mentioned, but there are a few others out there. However, the Accufab is pretty hard to beat.

A lot goes into a "low 11" combo. Once you pick a target (11.50? 11.20? 11.00?) it will be easier to hone in to the answers for some of the other questions, but in the appropriate areas of the forum.

Turbo Tweak, Power Logger, 60 lbrs, Walbro 340/Hotwire and Adj FPR along with the exhaust upgrades you have should give you a nice working combo. An alky kit would also be a nice addition to this setup. I'm running this same basic combo and like it very much.

I am running the same setup ( hotwired 340, Mototron 60's, adj. regulator) and am very satisfied with it. Works good even when in street tune. Also I have had zero problems passing emissions here in TX with those injectors with one of Mike Licht's street chips.
