Default Powermaster Help. Please.

I recently had my power brakes go out on me ('87 Grand National). Prior to that the "brake" light would come on and turn off when the pedal was applied.
When the whole thing went, the pedal was really hard. When I stopped, my engine bay smelled like brake fluid and a dead electric motor. I was blowing fuses every time i turned the ignition on. I purchased a used system and replaced just the motor, nothing changed, well I stopped blowing fuses, my pedal was still very hard, no power assist.
I replaced the whole system (with the used one). The problem seemed to be fixed. I had my original Accumulator Ball on the car. After 50 miles the same thing happened. I also blew another fuse. I put the second Accumulator on the car and made it home. However, my pedal travels far before doing anything, my brake light comes on every time again and the pedal won't reset itself. I have to pull the pedal up to disengage my brakes.
What could be wrong/not working?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My brake pedal stays down also, so my brakes stay applied and my brake lights stay on. I have to manually pull the pedal up with my foot to disengage them. What does that mean?

First, stop using used accumulators.

Second, since you likely chose not to read any articles or tests at the link provided, there may be an internal seal weak or failing in your unit. Very hard to tell what is going on without doing any tests.

You may require a new accumulator. They are pricey, but often help. See past posts and the provided links. You may need internal seals. See the provided links. Running a simple test should guide you in the right direction.
