How to hook up fuel pump on TR swap project
Im currently swapping an '85 GN drivetrain into a nice '85 Regal NA. Ive already swapped the underhood and dash harnesses, ECM, and instrument panel. What is the best way to install and hook up the electric fuel pump so it'll work how its supposed to?

Re: How to hook up fuel pump on TR swap project
Use a TR tank, pump hanger, and electrical harness.
Any other strategy will likely be expensive, or a performance compromise. Aftermarket TR tanks are available with a baffle (though not the stock one) for a FI system, and repro FI fuel hangers are available. Used parts are sometimes available. Inline pumps can be used, but I doubt you are pushing a performance envelope where a BIG pump is needed, and the wiring/plumbing required gets complicated. IMHO, stick with the OEM route. FWIW, I think doing a conversion can be hairy. I'm sure many would like to hear how it goes.

Re: How to hook up fuel pump on TR swap project
Hairy is a good word for it...swapping the dash harness increased my range of expletives lol. So far everything works good, I grounded the harness and threw in a battery and dash lights work and starter will engage...I'll keep you posted with updates and more questions Im sure.
