Time for a GTA wheel FAQ, methinks.

See http://www.gnttype.org/forums/showthread.php?t=11432 as well as other posts.

Just put them on the opposite way they were on the firebird. Rears in the front and fronts in ther rear. I have 255/50/16 on mine and they look good to me.

I don't think that is the solution.

See http://www.ajlc.waterloo.on.ca/cgi-b...2f200112%2f674

Probably something around 3/4"-1" thick.

yeah for some reason that idea doesn't even seem remotely safe to me. I think that getting correct spacers are a better idea.

I recently bought a refinished set of GTA wheels. I was told to put the fronts on the rears and the rears on the front, I had not really paid any attention to the offsets The trans am actually had the deeper dish on the fronts. I was always skeptical about why we were supposed to run that setup. Anyways, point is I kept the 2 fronts and opted for the 16x10s I picked up from a private seller. I still however have the accorn style lugs and the spacers needed to mount the GTA wheels on the GN if anyone out there is doin the swap

If you are skeptical, try it the other way and see how you like it. Four GTA "fronts" is the only truly correct setup.

The GTA rears have the funky backspace on their rears to clear the rear calipers of the rear disk brakes.

Yea I just never realized that the Gta had the larger offset in the front until I had all 4 wheels in front of me and saw the actual stamping of front and rear on them (pretty funny). I have since kept the fronts and sold the rears and replaced them with 16x10s
