Scott or Ken,
Would either one of you guys have a link for rod and main bearing part number decoding, like you did for the pistons?

Lightbulb Re: Piston Part #

Throw it out there. We can Google with the best of 'em. The key is separating the trash from the good info once it all comes up.

Scott & Ken,
One bearing has "GMM400 18001491 304 C 4-32"
while another one has 342H4 57692 GMNA
you guys knew the other stuff, so I am sure you will know what these letters/number means.

Ken, what you sent was part of my second questions for specs, any idea how these clearance/specs compare to what, can't remember the name of the book but have seen it on one of the websites, its a white cover turbo buick book that is maybe 8.5 x 5 in size, I think I have also seen the book in Poston. But somewhere I thought I saw that it had recommendations for clearances/specs, again any idea how they compare, since I don't have the book and can't find where I saw the numbers at?!!!

thanks

Should be the same ... my guess is that they pulled the specs from this chart (which is from the Service Manual)

As far as ID on the numbers, not sure on those and didn't get a quick hit from searching ...
