Default battery ground

I have a really stupid question. where exactly does the battery neg. cable hook to the engine block? where at? i can see its in the area of the motor mount does it connect to one of the 2 bolts holding the mount to the block? or to the one bolt that holds the mount to the chassis? or somewhere else on the front side? sorry for the dumb question its just the car has been apart for 3 years. hopefully i will have her running today if all goes well

Lightbulb Re: battery ground

On the 86/87 cars, the ground goes to the lower bolt of the turbo support bracket, which is bolted to the front of the engine block.

Exclamation Re: battery ground

Just be sure to get the oil system primed before actually starting it!

The search feature is awesome. I had the same question. Putting my battery back up front and I couldn't remember where the ground went.

Now I know.....moving on.

Thank you GNTTYPE!
