E-85...
I suspicion I am not looking in the right place, but I am wondering about using E-85 in my newly acquired G.N.
I know from past experience that the tank needs to be cleaned along with fuel lines. I also suspicion that I would need a different fuel pump. What about chips and fuel pressures? I know alcohol has a lower BTU than fuel. Can some one point me in the right direction?? Thanks Alan Downing |

Re: E-85...
Basically, you need a chip cut for the fuel (E85 has a stoich of about 9.6:1) and you need enough pump and injectors to support basically about 35% more fuel volume/flow than gasoline.
The tank and such should be fine without any special prep. Fuel pressure should be the same as gasoline, if the chip is calibrated properly.

Re: E-85...
Right now it has 36 lb injectors. Engine is stock. I need to look into the fuel pump situation.
What independents and vendors are doing those types of burns right now. Thanks for your help Mr. Mosher. Alan |

Re: E-85...
Try Full Throttle, Eric Marshall (Turbo Tweak), Cotton's, etc.
You'll need 60# injectors, a chip, and at least a Walbro pump
