Default 700r4

I have a 700r4 tranny from a 1985 trans am equipped with a 305. Will it bolt to the the 3.8 sfi turbo in my 1984 GN?

Will it be worth the trouble? I got this car yesterday and was wondering what all i could use on my GN from that car?

No, to my knowledge they didn't have the "dual pattern" bellhousing, only the Chevy/Corporate pattern? It could bolt up with an adapter ... and then you'd have a weaker transmission with less than optimal gearing.

A mild TR motor would rip it up in pretty short order.

Exclamation Re: 700r4

Other than the valve stem caps, not much.

Seriously, its such a different animal not much fits. The '89 Turbo Trans Ams even had to use different heads to get the Buick turbo V6 motors to fit. And only their front 16x8 wheels fit our cars due to the offset used in the rear.
