There's a following for the old Rivs, so the entire drivetrain and much of the unique trim might be of interest to the hot air Riv guys.
The "J" tube for the turbo is unique and hard to find! As far as "upgrades" for an '87 car, you really aren't going to find anything. However, the hot air guys might find all sorts of things they want off it!

Too bad I've got enough parts to build at least 5 of those cars. I've stopped rat hole'n Riv parts for the time being. The exhaust, everything on the intake minus the manifold and the turbo and throttle body are the hard to find in good condition parts that I would consider buying. The only part usable or worth anything for your 87 would be the crankshaft. The transmission is hot air Riviera specific and uses the same torque converter as the hot air Regal so that might be worth hanging on to. Double check the final drive, the ring and pinion more or less. All 85's used the less desirable 3.15 ratio. If by chance it has the optional 3.36 that is worth something. Look on the SPID label on the bottom side of the trunk lid. The codes are F57=3.15 and FW4=3.36. About the only other thing that might be worth something is the oil pan and pick up tube. The 85 used the 20 bolt pan so if you wanted to upgrade the block to a 109 in a Riv than you would need those two parts. The speedo cluster is the same as a Regal along with the steering wheel if it is in good condition. Where are you at? I may need some parts if you are with in driving range of me. What I'm looking for isn't cost effective for either of us if you have to pull the parts and ship them. One last thing. If it has the astro roof and its in good condition than it might be worth some money to a Regal guy. The Riv and G-body use the same AR assembly.
