Default Which is faster? 89TTA or 87GNX?

Curious to find out. Could not find anything in the literature out there. Thanks.

TTA has a very crappy Australian rear. WEAK!. I would take a GN, or a GNX any day!. The TTA may run a little more boost, and a different fuel reg., but we can fix that quick! You got the real deal!

I think it would be close,But the Gnx would hook better and win.

Don't have a stock GNX yet.
But I do have a stock TTA and remember how my stock GN felt. And I know a stock GNX is stronger than a stock GN.

There was a site where I saw a stock GNX and TTA battle.
The GNX won the first 2 races and the TTA won last race.

What do you think an average GNX is worth 30,000-35,000
Let me take that back. How much do you think you will have to pay for GNX.

I think a GNX would look nice in my collection next to my 87GN,89TTA,99SSconv.and64ssimpala

Hard to find a GNX! At least $35,000 for a nice one. But you would be scared to drive it. I would. I would want it parked on a remote island, away from all other cars. Who wants a car you can't drive?

Quicker? Or faster?

The TTA has MUCH better aerodynamics. They routinely turn better MPH times than GNs an the 1/4. And would clearly do better top speeds...at least over a GN.

As far as quicker 1/4 ETs and MPH than a GNX...I'd say the GNX still probably has the advantage due to the turbo and a few other small things. TTAs are only about 13.9 cars stock in premium tune. GNXs covers that by a few tenths.

TTA and gnx have about the same turbo, except the ceramic turbine, both have a larger turbine housing than GN.. .6?/vs .8? More efficient turbo, but GN has better low torque. Who keeps the stock turbo anyway? I think the TTA also has a different wastegate hole size.

I woul rather have 4 GNs or 3 TTAs than 1 GNX. Dont get me wrong I love the GNX but you dont get your moneys worth.

Stock GN vs. stock tta, the tta is faster according to results I have read. I did read one article that did comment that the tta could beat the GNX (1/4) once the driver got use to hard launches in the tta. My tta is a much better ride (aero, handling, brakes) over my GN and is much quicker (modified).

There is no comparison between my GNX and my GN. GNX hands down.

I drive one GNX and park the other.

As far as moneys worth, the GNX will hold its value over a TTA any day, several fold.

Id take a GNX over a TTA but I'd say its a tossup in the quarter mile.. Top speed the TTA has the X covered easy..
