Lets just say, my kids are no strangers to Turbo Buicks. They spend lots of time out in the garage with there Dad helping when they can on the cars

well we were able to remove the trans without removing the crossmember, i thought that was pretty cool

nope, just removed the trans mount and slid the trans off the dowl pins, turned trans slightly to where tail shaft would clear crossmember and came down with it
